Meet @viewfromthemat

I honestly don’t know Rachael. Over my exploration of teaching asana and spreading yoga, I’ve come across many a beautiful yogi on instagram that provide me with inspiration and insight into the practice and journey.  In my cyber travels, I’ve come across her beautiful feed and every day, I feel fortunate to have found her. Scrolling through her feed always bring me back to one thing – connection. Her images are bright and full – inspired and honest – deep and blissful. With tons of yoga selfies taking over the interwebs, I can sometimes feel overwhelmed or even inadequate as a yoga teacher and student (this is it’s own topic…). Getting lost in the “asana” battle that sometimes wages on.

I never feel this way with Rachael. Rachael shares her abundance. Her joys. Her small moments of bliss and connection. Her understanding and compassion. Her love. Her deep and true yoga. It’s never about yoga the asana practice, it’s about yoga the principles for happiness, health, and wellness. It’s her commitment to share these practices in a pure “this is the life I live” kind of way thatI love the most. It’s what I consider a true yoga practice. Yoga Life. She invites you into her corner of the world and spreads love, joy and connection across your screen. I don’t see many “yoga feeds” like hers.. and the simple beauty of her journey is endlessly inspiring to me. Embracing what matters. What’s beautiful about Rachael is that she is also practicing. Everyday she shares a little bit of this practice with us and that is what inspires me to come back to the mat and continue on my own journey.

Until then, I wanted to share a person with you all that keeps me inspired.

Give her your eyes ==here==

Thank you Rachael.
